Mitsubishi Electric India opens new manufacturing facility for Inverters (Drives) to help Industries in their objective of energy conservation

Mitsubishi Electric India has been successful in servicing Indian companies with the Inverter (Drives) Series, popularly known as FREQROL with marked segments like Automotive, Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage, Textile, Water and Waste Water Treatment, Tunnel Ventilation, Power Distribution in Premium Residential and Commercial Buildings. Mitsubishi Electric India has made investments to expand its new unit in Pune for Inverter (Drives) manufacturing. Mr. Hideyuki Ohkubo, Executive Officer, Group President of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, inaugurated the new Inverter (Drives) manufacturing unit located at Pune.

This expansion supports MEI’s strategy of establishing manufacturing and marketing units close to customers, thus reducing delivery lead time. With an eye on rapid deliveries, low inventory cost for customers and the possibility to accommodate last moment changes in delivery scope, Mitsubishi Electric India factory is equipped with automated machineries & systems, with the capabilities to manufacture E740, D740 & D720S Drives series up to 15kW capacity.

The aim of this manufacturing facility is to enable MEI to produce parts of Inverters (Drives) and assemble them with the same evaluation process, quality standards and assurance as of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Nagoya Works, Japan. To maintain world class quality, the core parts of inverters (Drives) like IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor), CPU Module and Power Modules are imported from Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Japan. MEI is positive that the High Quality, Environment friendly and Reliable products would result to increase in business of Inverters (Drives) in the coming three years.
